Gim Jae-hong

Born in 1958 in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, Gim Jae-hong studied Western painting (BFA) at Hongik University. Staunch in his belief that a world where children are happy is a good world, he strives to find hope through his drawings. He has written and illustrated The Children of the Dong River and In the Forest and has drawn for Homeward. He received the 2004 Prix International du Livre Espace-Enfant for The Children of the Dong River.
