Chung Jae Eun studied atmospheric science (BS and MS) at Yonsei University and the history and philosophy of science (MS and D Sc) at Seoul National University. She co-translated into Korean David Raup’s Extinction: Bad Genes or Bad Luck and started to write children’s stories after the selection of her “Avatar School” in the children’s literature section of the 2005 Science Technology Creative Literature Award. My Girlfriend’s Legs (published by Changbi) is the first collection of her tales for youngsters. During 2017-18, she serialized “Imagining with Science,” a cross between fiction and nonfiction, in the monthly Children and Literature.
