Born in 1965 in Seocheon, South Chungcheong Province, Jeong Hae-wang studied Korean literature (BA) at Yonsei University. He made his debut with the reception of the MBC Grand Prize for Children’s Fiction for his Gaeddangsoe in 1994. In addition to planning and creating good works for young readers, he educates and trains budding children’s book authors through an online workshop (cafe.daum.net/childbooks). He has penned The Elephant’s Bathtub, A Story of Great Dogs, The Monkey Who Caught a Flying Arrow: The Story of Wise Little Zhuangzi, One Piece of Wisdom at a Time: Thirty Stories of Wisdom, People Who Overcame Disability, A Story of Dok-do, Our Land, and The Red Wolf and translated into Korean Now One Foot, Now the Other, Henrietta’s First Winter, Tidy up, Trevor, and Jake’s Birthday.
