Yoon Jeong-joo

Born in 1971, Yoon Jeong-joo studied Western painting (BFA) at Hongik University. Recipient of the Silver Prize in the 2nd Shinhan Children’s Comics Contest, she has illustrated numerous children’s books including Why Did Whales Go to the Sea? (published by Changbi), People Who Protect Seeds (published by Changbi), The Tale of Sim Cheong (published by Changbi), Think Soccer! (published by Changbi), The Magic Schedule, Baby Insects Eat Baby Insects, Who Laughed? Current Events for Kids, Better Speech and Writing for Kids, and Picture Cartoons That Enrich Children’s Imagination, Blusia’s Game of “Scissors-Rock-Paper” (published by Changbi), and Your Noodles Will Get All Mushy! (published by Changbi). In addition, she ran “Building Human Rights,” an educational comic strip, in the children’s monthly The Whale Did It.
