Baek Minsuk began his writing career in 1995 with the short story “The Candy I Loved,” published in Literature and Society. He has four short story collections, including: 16 Tales from Believe It or Not Museum, The Errand Boy of the Manor, The Man at the Tip of the Tongue, and The Woods. Baek has also written several novels, including: Hey, We’re Going on a Picnic, The Candy I Loved, Poor Little Hans, The Bizarre Story of the Cotton Field, The Dead Owl Farm, Century of Terror, Diary of Culture and Madness, and Happy Apocalypse!. Baek’s essay collections include three books: Leaflet, Citizens of Havana, and Hemmingway: The First Cosmopolitan Writer of the 20th Century.
