Warnings! No Return! Can a robot be my dad?

SF long fairy tale story asking the true meaning of family

Cheol-Min who lives with his mother only impulsively orders robot daddy from online shopping mall. Warnings, No Return! Robot daddy is literally a sort of AI robot which takes care of children. Cheol-Min shares his feeling with this robot daddy by telling his own stories which he can never share with others. One day, his mother, who doesn’t like robots, finds out the fact that he owns the robot daddy, and he decided to run away from home to protect his daddy. They have a great time during summer vacation, but after a short while, Cheol-Min has realized that his robot daddy has approached him to find the circuit of heart. What is the circuit of heart, anyway? Shall his robot daddy become the real family with Cheol-Min?

“Do you need dad? Then, order now!”

The story of exploring the relationship between a robot and a human in the age of AI

Cheol-Min decides to run away from home when his mom finds out about his robot daddy. However, people misunderstand that this robot kidnapped Cheol-Min, therefore, they send the rescue robots to attack. People think this robot of a thing without heart, but the robot daddy is not just a simple machine to Cheol-Min. The author, Seo, Jin, uses his uniquely strong writing style and extreme scenes just like scenes in the movies to describe the adventure of robot daddy. In this process, he pinpoints the ethical issue which we can never overlook. In SF literature, robots with more excellent ability than humans have been either a subject to sympathize or a subject to fear of. Nowadays when we all expect AI robots which are very similar to humans in near future, and this book, ‘I Ordered Dad’, provides us with an opportunity to think of the classic theme of SF literature, the relationship between robots and humans, by ourselves.
